He was so happy to get this amazing food and I was happy for the great customer service from Monicals Pizza . Real home cooked food is hard to find. “ We LOVE Monical’s Pizza! We live about 2 hours away and whenever we’re in Olney, there are only two places we eat (well, other than my mother-in-law’s) and one is Monical’s! The staff is incredibly friendly and the restaurant is always clean and comfortable. We usually get the Family Pleaser (salad, large pizza, and drinks). We prefer the thin crust pizza and my favorite is the Tiger Special. If you want a little extra kick to it, put some of the Mullen’s salad dressing on it! ”
“ I have enjoyed Monical's Pizza in so many Locations over the Years... so many Opportunities for Memories to be Made... and Shared in Every One... Last Week, my Friend Cindy Lou Who and I visited the Monical's here in Olney... and while I remembered the Monical's Locations that I had known in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois... ... Cindy told me her Story... You see, Cindy's Family operated the Red & White Stores here in Olney... and although Monical's Original Location in Olney was on South West Street (Illinois State Route 130) where it now is had been a Red & White Supermarket for a Time. Although the Structure has been extensively Remodeled, Cindy related her experience working in the Supermarket... and how she would work on Decorating the Store for the Changing Seasons. She recalled where the Isles were, the Freezer Case, the Checkout Lanes... even where the Office and the Safe were located. She remembered helping to unload the Truck bringing Cartons and Crates and the Roller way that lead into the Store and how Everything off-loaded had to be Staged because it was brought into the Store for Stocking the Shelves... So, besides us sharing an Excellent Pizza and Salad, I got a bit of a Lesson in the Hard Work that Family Grocers put in and the Challenges they Faced and how Marketing, Customer Tastes, and Technology changed their World. Monical's Locations seem to nearly all have been started with another Function in mind... but in a Funny sort of way, Monical's can and does "Recycle" these underutilized Structures and not only puts them to good use, but also provides another Opportunity for young people to gain Experience in the Restaurant Business. That's a Good Thing... ... and on Top of All That, You can still get a Thin Crust, Double Sausage and Green Olive Pizza Individual Pleaser for a Reasonable Price just like I used to get Up North... ... just don't expect Anchovies... ... yeah, I know that I'm Weird ... “ Roreigh, our waitress, was the BEST! She was also sweet. That is the best kind of waitress. Monical's also had VERY good food. What personally caught my eye was the paintings on the walls. Very great atmosphere. I definitely recommend coming here. ”
